La noticia puede leerse en su blog y no deja de ser sorprendente: The guys from Sexy Sadie decide to say goodbye to us and thus put an end to their career after 14 years old.
It is sad news for the world of Spanish music. Now that I had the feeling that they were reaching a greater number of people and that they were finally being recognized, They tell us good bye.
I hope that your solo projects give you the opportunity to express everything you want to send us and that you have good luck, whatever the project that each one undertakes separately.
We hope to hear from you very soon. How envious I am of those who are going to attend one of the concerts that are still scheduled.….if i could escape….
This is the official post:
Farewell and Closing…
When we started in 1992, We would never have thought we would get here. Despite being in top shape, enjoying the concerts more than ever and maintaining our friendship like the first day; We believe that the evolution of the group has reached its peak with “Translate”.
That's why, although it is difficult to make this decision, we think now is the best time.
We have a lot to be grateful for, both to those of you who have followed and supported us and to those who have worked with us. There are many of you and we will miss you, if you ever think the same, you just have to put a disk.
We especially want to thank everyone who has made it possible for us to get here.:
– Carlos Galán and Carlos Mariño for their trust, your love and patience; It is impossible to summarize what we have achieved together in these 12 years old.
– Gem of the Valley, Iranzu Valencia and everyone who has been through Subterfuge, for your effort and dedication.
– Angeles Velasco, Carlos Cancho and everyone who has been through Spanish Bombs; all the concerts have been possible thanks to them.
– To all the members who have passed through the group:
Miki Serra
Jose Luis Sampol
Miquel Martinez 'Pint’
Pablo Garcia
Carlos Pilan
Sergio Molina
Michael Mesquida
– And to all the producers or sound technicians:
Tony Noguera
Paco Loco
Joaquin Pascual
Angelo Borras
Rafa Rigo
Fernando Pardo
Nigel Walker
J.M. Rosillo
Pablo Ochando
Eduardo Baos
And of course to all of you who are not there, the list of thanks would be endless.
Jaime Gª Soriano
Jaume Gost
Toni Toledo
For now that's all we can say, We hope you are patient to wait for the answers to the questions that arise.. There are still some concerts left and we will dedicate ourselves to them with the same energy and affection as always.
Thank you all!
Ps. Regarding future plans, It's still early to have something in mind, but you can be sure that we will continue playing and making music, be together or apart.
