We should all applaud the initiative of the French Leclerc

In these times, where everything seems to be back, where no one looks at anyone or anything, consoles read such news. I would not fall into a Happy – Happy (mainly because there are always economic reasons weight) but what counts is that actions like this who benefits is the consumer. Do not believe that now more than one company will take into account what is happening in France?

The French supermarket chain Leclerc has carried out his threat and from tomorrow 1 February withdraw from their shelves six flagship products: the famous cheeses ‘The Laughing Cow‘, two of wrinkle creams Nivea and L'Oréal, Cleaning product Ajax, a soda Pulco and a brand cake Brossard.

The reason is that manufacturers have raised prices so delusional –between 18% and a 20% in recent months and the head of the chain Leclerc has decided to stop selling. “Products too expensive??. We only have a solution: Not sell. Pity”, was the advertising message that the past 16 January launched the supermarket warning that prices of these six products were shooting well beyond inflation.

“The six items were removed the 1 February our stores them again when providers engage in an increase not higher than the average of the products of the same range”.

Leclerc Supermarkets have earned a reputation in France to carry out an aggressive pricing policy, the head of which does not hesitate to face its president, Michel-Edouard Leclerc.

The chain has almost 600 establishments in France. In Spain has 8 and all of them are medium surfaces.
