Aleks Syntek continues on tour presenting his latest work titled flight lesson, mientras lo compagina con su dedicación al proyecto ALAS (fundación enfocada a la ayuda de niños latinoamericos).
Hace un par de años, Abril de 2006, I was talking about the pleasant surprise that meeting Shery had given me, like a chance meeting.
Now we meet her again at a concert in Guatemala, last friday, where the Mexican Aleks Syntek invited the Guatemalan singer-songwriter to share the stage.
Halfway through the evening, after singing “Stories of danzón and suburbs” and “Camino”, Alex Syntek said: “A very special moment is coming tonight, Well, what better way to give them back some of the love they give me?, to invite to this stage one of the artists with the most promising career, especially when it comes to a pretty Guatemalan woman”.
Tras la introducción, Shery subió al escenario acompañada de la ovación del público, donde interpretó a dúo con Syntek versiones acústicas de los éxitos “love hurts” and “Mis impulsos sobre ti”, fuertemente coreados por la audiencia.
En un intenso final, donde los artistas jugaron con sus voces en una aplaudida improvisación vocal, la guatemalteca se despidió diciendo: “Por favor un enorme aplauso para el maestro de maestros Aleks Syntek. Thanks, ha sido un gran honor cantar contigo”.
