No promises – Carla Bruni

Browsing the net I found this that defines very well the latest work of Carla Bruni. It seems so bad to me that I don't even want to waste my time making a review of it. No Promises.

Four years after his surprising debut with “Quelqu´un m´a it”, Carla Bruni returns with a second album. For this occasion, The former model has set to music a series of poems by authors from the late 19th century and early 20th century such as Emily Dickinson, William B Yeats, Wystan Hugh Auden or Walter De La Mare.

The blindness of the crowds never ceases to amaze me. The new case is Bruni. If their first album had a more than passable note and an undeniable eroticism, This unbearable second job shows a great reality: this girl doesn't know how to sing, hardly tunes and, express, what is said to express, yes it expresses: boredom. A “bluff”. a deception. a montage. Rich people making music for rich people “in” that are more “out” than they believe. If you want classy music, buy Xavier Rudd's album and let the model do her posing., what is yours. Don't let companies fool you. Shoe rack to your shoes. No Promises Tracks 01. 1.
