Last.fm crece con Sony BMG

It is not long ago that multinational CBS I buy the station Last.fm. Now, just a few months later, The company announces that the entire musical catalog of Sony BMG (that has major record labels: Arista, Columbia, Epic, etc) will be available for listening at Last.fm.

To this we must add the agreements to broadcast the catalogs, which last.fm had reached before its sale, from companies like Warner the EMI.

Thomas Hesse, of Sony BMG has stated that “The Last.fm service can provide our established artists with a platform through which to reach new audiences; also, the recommendation system can provide our emerging artists with a great opportunity to gain new followers”.

Last.fm is a personalized internet radio station with a recommendation system and where you can discover new groups, as well as established groups similar to those you like and that you still don't know.

After creating your user, it has a history of what you have heard the most, thus remembering your musical preferences and offering you groups with similar styles to your listeners.

A practical example would be to put Van Gogh's Ear. You will automatically see that the following reproductions would be Butterfly Effect, Amaral, etc

For this reason, the importance of the news, the catalog grows and with it the possibility of listening to many of your favorite soloists and groups..

If you doubt, and if there are no changes, very good news for its users.
